As noted by the name of this event, this Scottish Gathering and Games has been an annual affair in Salado for many years. As it grew in size, the Games were moved from downtown Salado to ranch land west of town. Last year the Clans and Vendors were advised that property would no long be available for the Games and so the search began for a suitable new location. We were all very pleased with their new grounds along the river inside the city limits of Salado and close to the Museum in Pace Park. The sounds of the pipe bands were clearly heard across the grassy field. The Clan MacLeod tent was manned by Doug and Amy Beaton, and Gloria McLeod. We visited with a lot of old friends and met many new ones. David Storm and his new bride, Phyllis, renewed their membership and David agreed to represent Clan MacLeod as the North Texas Coordinator. Dennis Williamson also renewed his membership. Trish McLeod and Christine Logue joined the Society. We welcome these folks into our MacLeod family. We look forward to this event again next year.
