Clan MacLeod Society, USA Events
The two meetings per year are a combination of a business meeting and a social gathering. All members are invited to both of the events. The first weekend in December is the traditional time for the Alexandria, Va. Clan MacLeod USA, meeting. This meeting is called the Mid-Year Meeting, because our calendar year runs from July to July. Friday is the business meeting and Saturday is the “Scottish Christmas Walk” and social event. This parade honors Alexandria’s Scottish heritage with more than 100 Scottish Clans (including the Clan MacLeod) dressed in tartans and many bagpipe bands from around the East Coast.
The second meeting is during the summer months and is hosted by a different USA region each year. This allows Clan members who may not want to travel to attend a local Annual General Meetings (AGM). Every four years this meeting becomes the North American Gathering (NAG) combining both USA and Canadian Clan member meetings. The next NAG is in the USA in 2012.The following is a table of upcoming meeting.
